PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide event-controlled continuous logging for a mobile operating environment.SOLUTION: A method comprises: establishing a start trigger that initiates collection of log data and a stop trigger (702, 704); and executing the start trigger or stop trigger on occurrence of an event such as initiation/termination of a voice call, a web browser, a ring-tone, an incoming call, a short message service (SMS), an instant message (IM), and activation of a PDP context or resource of a mobile network or mobile device (706).
