GUIDANCE APPARATUS FOR COIL FEEDING CRANE AND METHOD USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A guide device and method for a coil feeding crane are provided to prevent accidents caused by visual measurement by enabling a worker to perform observation through a monitor in a crane cabin. CONSTITUTION: A guide device for a coil feeding crane comprises an image acquisition unit (510), an image processing unit (520), and a display unit. The image acquisition unit acquires the image of a coil (200) descending to a saddle (110). The image processing unit filters the image data received from the image acquisition unit and extracts a feature point and a contour line from the filtered image data. The image processing unit converts the extracted feature point and contour line data into an image coordinate system and calculates the eccentric value of the coil from the converted image coordinate system. The display unit displays the calculated eccentric value.
