PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination system which allows for feeling of brightness similar to the environment, even in a space not exposed to sunlight directly.SOLUTION: In an illumination system 1 having a photovoltaic power generator 3, and a luminaire 4 consisting of a light-emitting diode, in which the photovoltaic power generator 3 and the luminaire 4 are connected electrically, illumination of the luminaire 4 corresponds to a voltage generated by the photovoltaic power generator. In other words, illumination of the luminaire 4 can be differentiated by the difference of a voltage generated due to the difference of irradiation amount and irradiation angle of sunlight with which the photovoltaic power generator 3 is irradiated, by utilizing the output from the photovoltaic power generator 3, as it is, as the power supply of the luminaire 4. Consequently, the brightness similar to change in the brightness of environment can be felt even in a space not exposed directly to sunlight. |
