The invention relates to a method for controlling an electric power steering motor. This method is aimed at avoiding sudden movements of the steering wheel and loss of power steering when the supply voltage drops below a threshold value. To avoid that, the invention proposes switching off the power steering (E2) when the supply voltage drops below a threshold value and then, if the steering wheel angle and/or steering wheel torque varies/vary significantly when the power steering is switched off, activating the motor brake of the electric motor (E5). |
