A middle frame (2) for a liquid crystal display device, and a liquid crystal display device using the middle frame (2). The middle frame (2) is of a split-type structure, and comprises multiple frame members (21). Reinforcing ribs (22) are further disposed on inner surfaces at corners of the frame members (21). The reinforcing ribs (22) can increase the strength of the middle frame (2). The frame members (21) of the same section can be spliced into the middle frame (21) having a larger size and satisfying the strength requirement.
