PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor control device capable of suitably detecting element resistance by suppressing influence of switching noise caused by switching at the timing of a side to be changed due to variation of pulse width.SOLUTION: A gas sensor control device l for controlling a gas sensor 2 includes: variation detection means 40 for detecting response variation &Dgr;Vs by temporality changing a voltage or a current between electrodes of a sensor element part 3; element resistance detection means S25 to S28 for detecting element resistance Rpvs of the sensor element part 3 on the basis of the response variation &Dgr;Vs; heater energization control means 70, 34, S4, S71 to S77 for controlling ON/OFF of energization to a heater part 4 by a pulse PS with a fixed period T; and instruction signal output means S32 to S37 for outputting an instruction signal SC for instructing the variation detection means 40 to detect the response variation &Dgr;Vs at third timing t3 passing second timing t2 to be changed in accordance with pulse width PSW by predetermined waiting time TW. |
