The filter housing (1) has a base portion (10) having an inlet (6) for to-be-cleaned fluid, an outlet (8) for cleaned fluid and an aperture (11) for accommodating a filter element (9). A housing cover (12) closes/locks the aperture in fluid tight manner and includes a centering nose and a holding pin. The centering groove is extended to base portion in longitudinal direction (18). The centering nose is led to centering groove from aperture. A retaining groove (16) is extended in circumferential direction and is brought at the holding pin for locking the aperture.
