PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a suitable tone correction.SOLUTION: A video processing device has first extraction means, second extraction means, synthesis means, correction means, and output means. The first extraction means extracts distribution information on brightness, from image information. The second extraction means extracts distribution information on brightness, from pixels having a color difference component within a predetermined range among the image information. The synthesis means synthesizes distribution information on brightness extracted by the second extraction means on the distribution information on the brightness extracted by the first extraction means. The correction means, on the basis of the distribution information on the brightness synthesized by the synthesis means, performs tone correction to the image information. The output means outputs the image information in which the tone correction is performed by the correction means. |
