In order to reduce mobile data traffic, a mobile device prefetches information related to a future event through a cheap mass data transmission connection (such as WiFi, Ethernet or a non-peak mobile broadband), and therefore, this information does not need to be acquired through an expensive mobile communication connection (such as a mobile broadband). The location-based prefetch and the participant-based prefetch can effectively use existing infrastructures of a location based service (LBS) and a social networking service (SNS). A scheduled event (managed by a schedule management application program) is more likely to occur than a guessed event (a future event guessed from a previous event), and thus, is the main manner for predicting a future event. |
