<p>The apparatus (100) has an indoor unit (X) provided with an indoor heat exchanger, and an outdoor unit (Y) provided with a compressor connected to the indoor heat exchanger to form a refrigeration cycle. A detector detects the number of occupants in a room. A control unit e.g. interior controller (X1), calculates occupancy rate for the number of occupants detected by the detector for changing operating frequency of a compressor based on the calculated occupancy rate. The detector includes an infra-red sensor provided with an ornamental panel.</p> |
