A display container 1 including a base, sides and top, at least one side 2 being openable and including a display tray 3 for displaying, in use, an item, such as a watch on or in the tray otherwise stored in the container when closed, the tray being slideable in a first orientation with respect to the base or the container for opening and closing the container and being slideable in a second orientation angularly offset with respect to the first orientation, in which second orientation an item on or in the tray can be displayed at an inclined angle relative td the first orientation. The container may include tracks or grooves 7 and the side panel 2 may include runners 5, which can be slid along the tracks 7.
