<p>The invention provides a parking brake lever apparatus (15) for a vehicle (1) having a desirable operability, being compact, and achieving an improvement of flexibility in layout.</p><p><Paragraphs id="pa02" num="0002" xmlns:base="http://www.sipo.gov.cn/XMLSchema/base">A first latchet member (30) and a second latchet member (31) are arranged along the direction of an axis of a rotating shaft (44) of a holder member (27) which rotatably supports a parking brake lever (28), the first latchet member (30) and the second latchet member (31) are arranged so that respective teeth (61, 71) thereof come into contact with each other at end surfaces facing in the direction of the axis of the rotating shaft (44) when the parking brake lever (28) is in an unlocked position (Fig. 17(a)), and the first latchet member (30) is moved toward the second latchet member (31) by springs (51, 52) so that the respective teeth (61, 71) of the first latchet member (30) and the second latchet member (31) are engaged with each other when the parking brake lever (28) is in a locked position (Fig. 17(b)).
