PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for controlling the injection amount of urea solution in a vehicle are provided to apply the accumulation amount of ash increased by the increase of a driving distance in order to determine the injection amount of the urea solution, thereby precisely injecting the urea solution. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling the injection amount of urea solution in a vehicle includes a diesel particulate filter (10) integrated with a selective catalytic reduction catalyst, a dosing module (20), and a control part (18). The filter causes a reduction reaction between NOx in exhaust gas and ammonia from the urea solution in order to purify NOx, and collects particle matters (PM). The dosing module injects the urea solution to the front end of the filter. The control part calculates the effective volume decrease amount of the filter by the accumulation of ash, and the reaction rate of the ammonia. The control part controls the injection of the urea solution with determining a required amount for injecting the urea solution according to ammonia consumption in which the effective volume decrease amount is reflected.
