DEVICE FOR SUSPENDING A STEERABLE WHEEL

PURPOSE: A device for suspending a steerable wheel is provided to significantly reduce the interference torque of a steering while a vehicle runs along a curved or uneven road. CONSTITUTION: A device for suspending a steerable wheel suspends a steerable wheel (R1) on a vehicle using a wheel carrier (1) which is rotated on a steering shaft. The wheel is rotatably supported in the wheel carrier. The wheel carrier is supported in an upper link (13) through a wheel carrier arm (11) using a rubber shaft bearing (12). The upper link is supported in a pivot bearing (14) to be engaged with of a spring strut (F1) around the vehicle side end. The wheel carrier is fastened to a lower link (16) through a pivot bearing (15) under the wheel central point of the wheel. The free end (21) of a stabilizer (20) is connected to a connection rod (23) which is bent and extended from the neighborhood of the wheel side area of the spring strut. One end of the connection rod is supported in the wheel carrier.
