PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage medium storage system capable of dramatically increasing the mounting efficiency of a magazine.SOLUTION: A storage medium storage system 10 has a plurality of magazines 11a to 11c storing storage media, a magazine housing area 13 formed by arranging individual storage spaces 13a on the same plane in the shape of a matrix more than the number of the magazines 11a to 11c in the shape of a matrix, guide parts 20, 21 for guiding the movement directions of the magazines 11a to 11c in a row direction and a column direction of the matrix in the magazine housing area 13, an accessor 18 for exchanging a storage medium with the magazines 11a to 11c arranged in the individual storage spaces 13a located at prescribed positions of the magazine housing area 13, and movement means for moving in parallel the magazines 11a to 11c between one of the plurality of individual storage spaces 13a and another individual storage space 13a adjacent to the one by performing a prescribed operation to move the magazines 11a to 11c to an optional magazine housing area 13. |
