PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify the user to the effect that creation of mail is in progress when screens are changed for another application software in the middle of mail creation.SOLUTION: When the user starts another application due to an incoming call, etc. in the middle of mail creation, a control section 21 exerts control as a mail creation function by saving the mail in the middle of creation, switching the mail creation screen to the other application screen, and when the application screen concerned is closed, changing it to a standby screen, and also exerts control as an address book editing function by editing mail addresses according to operations from a key operation section 12. If, while a first function including either side of the mail creation function and the address book editing function is being executed, a second function including either side of a telephone call and an alarm function is invoked and the system is switched to the second function, the user is notified with predetermined timing to the effect that the first function was in the middle of execution when switched to the second function. This notification is made by a mail creation-in-progress notification section 25 which is included as a notification section in a portable terminal device. |
