PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat which can restrain a head rest from tilting backward with respect to a seat back in the rear collision of a vehicle.SOLUTION: In a seat 10 for a vehicle, when a collision ECU predicts rear collision by a signal from a pre-crush sensor, a micro gas generator is actuated by the collision ECU. Then, a pop-up bar 18 goes up by the gas pressure from the micro gas generator. Accompanying this ascent, a whiplash reducing bar 25 is raised from a storage position to a regulating position, and the connection 25A of this whiplash reducing bar 25 faces, from behind, the body 16 of a head rest 15. Hereby, it is possible to support the body 16 of the head rest 15 from behind by the whiplash reducing bar 25. Therefore, it can restrain the head rest 15 from tilting backward with respect to a seat back 14 due to the load rearward of the vehicle input into the body 16 from the head H of a seated occupant P or the reaction in rear collision, etc. |
