PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer foil for forgery prevention which is excellent in design property for improving high forgery prevention performance for preventing any image from being copied by a copying machine or the like, and for making it easy to visually determine authenticity.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a transfer foil is characterized to successively execute: a process of forming a diffraction structure on one face of a first base material; a process of forming a first coat layer and a first metallic reflective layer on the whole area; a process of pattern-forming a pigmented layer in at least one or more colors; a process of removing the first metallic refractive layer in any area other than the pigmented layer by etching; a process of forming a second coat layer on the whole area; a process of temporarily adhering the second layer and a second base material by thermo-compression bonding; a process of carrying out peeling on a boundary surface between a diffraction structure formation layer on the first base material and the first coat layer; a process of forming a second metallic refractive layer on the whole area of the first coat layer on the second base material; a process of forming a mask layer thereon, and removing the exposed second metallic refractive layer with no mask layer by etching; and a process of forming an adhesive layer on the whole area. |
