PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-up display device capable of detecting the brightness of a background, with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: An HUD device 1 includes a display 20 emitting display light L indicating a display image, a combiner 50 including a concave surface 50a on which the display light L emitted by the display 20 is made incident, condensing the incident display light L, and allowing an observer 2 to visually recognize the display image in such a state that the display image is overlapped with the background in front, from the side of the concave surface 50a, and an optical sensor 31 located below the combiner 50 and detecting the brightness of the reached light. The combiner 50 includes a light guide 60 integral with the combiner 50 at the bottom end of the combiner 50, the light guide 60 includes a facing surface 62 facing the optical sensor 31 in a vertical direction, guides external light entering from the front downward, and emits the guided external light from the facing surface 62, and the optical sensor 31 detects the brightness of the light emitted from the facing surface 62. |
