PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread cutting assembly for an eyelet sewing machine.SOLUTION: A thread cutting assembly for an eyelet sewing machine includes at least two pairs of lower-side cloth presser receiving plates 11a and 11b and upper-side cloth presser feet 9a and 9b for holding cloth between the cloth presser receiving plates and the cloth presser feet. The cloth presser feet are driven so as to be displaceable with respect to the cloth presser receiving plates provided in association therewith. The cloth presser receiving plates have stitch area recesses 31a and 31b in an eyelet stitch area so that an eyelet stitch opening is formed, and sewing devices can sew eyelet stitches in the opening in cooperation with each other. The assembly further includes a thread cutter 33 and an oppositely arranged thread cutter 34 which is driven so as to be displaceable with respect to the thread cutter and cuts at least one sewing thread in cooperation therewith. The thread cutter and the oppositely arranged thread cutter are so constructed as to cooperate at least even in the eyelet stitch area. |
