PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct with high accuracy an image derived by reading a read object under an environment where ambient light and self-illumination are applied on the object.SOLUTION: An image correction device comprises: a control unit which controls an illumination unit and a reading unit so that the image of a read object is read out while synthetic light synthesized from ambient light and self-illumination is applied thereon, and that the ambient light reference color chip image of a reference color chip is read out while only ambient light is applied thereon; and a correction unit which corrects the image of the read object on the basis of a self-illumination reference chart image derived by previously reading a reference chart in size corresponding to a placement region in which the read object is placed while only self-illumination is applied thereon while being supported by a holding unit, a uniform light reference color chip image derived by previously reading a reference color chip while only uniform light from a predetermined uniform light source is applied thereon, a uniform light reference chart image derived by previously reading a reference chart while only uniform light is applied thereon, and the image of the read object and the ambient light reference color chip image read out by the reading unit. |
