PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flash memory disk device and the like capable of performing error correction of data in a single device and ensuring reliability of the data.SOLUTION: A flash memory disk device 10 comprises: a plurality of storage elements 16 to 17 by a flash memory; an interface controller 12 for performing transmission/reception of data with a host device; a micro processor 14 for causing the storage elements to store writing data that is received from the host device through the interface controller and reading the data stored in the storage elements so as to transmit the data to the host device through the interface controller as reading data; and an ECC controller 15 for generating and adding longitudinal and transverse ECC codes to the writing data and performing detection and correction of an error of the reading data by the ECC codes.
