PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the start-up time of an image forming apparatus that performs network communication with a storage device storing setting information required for initial settings and job use information used for a job.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes: a setting information acquisition unit 33 that acquires, upon confirmation of turn-on of a power source, setting information from an information storage device 50 connected with the image forming apparatus 1 via a network; a start-up unit 31 that starts up the image forming apparatus 1 on the basis of the setting information; and a job information acquisition unit 34 that acquires job use information from the information storage device 50 upon confirmation of ability to execute a job after the start-up.
