PURPOSE: A location based event management system and a method thereof are provided to allow a user to apply to an event automatically when the user enters a certain event zone. CONSTITUTION: After storing event zone information, a management server sets conditions which are used to prioritize (S401). If a user terminal enters a certain event zone (S402), the user terminal transmits user authentication information through a designated antenna for the transmission and reception of a gateway in the event zone (S403). After authenticating the user, the management server stores the authentication information and has the user apply to an event automatically (S404). The management server transmits the event application information to the user terminal (S405), and the user terminal receives the event application information (S406).
