PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hologram reproduction method and a hologram reproduction device that can reduce mixture of colors occurring when information is reproduced from a hologram recording medium and improve the SN ratio of an acquired image.SOLUTION: At least two imaging element pairs with polarizers each comprising a first imaging element with polarizers constituted by making first composite polarizer elements, having first polarizers transmitting P-polarized light and second polarizers transmitting S-polarized light combined in a checker pattern, correspond to respective pixels of the imaging element, and a second imaging element with polarizers constituted such that first polarizers and second polarizers are replaced with each other and incident light shifts in phase by a 1/2 wavelength as compared with the first imaging element with polarizers are provided in a reproduction optical path. The imaging elements with polarizers are irradiated with interference light beams generated from reproduction light and reference light and shifting in phase with each other, and pieces of interference fringe intensity information output from the imaging elements with polarizers are computed by a phase shift method to obtain amplitude and phase information on interference fringes. |
