PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a car may stop between floors if electric power of a power storage device is exhausted or if storage electric power fails, causing confinement, which cannot be said to be utterly improbable.SOLUTION: An elevator 11 is provided including a car 16, a sheave 19, a rotation driving device 21 of the sheave 19, a power storage device 13 for storing electric power required for landing the car 16 on the nearest floor in power failure, a driving power storage device 14 in power failure of an escalator 12 arranged in the escalator 12 in a separate system from the power storage device 13, an operation control part 23 for controlling lifting/lowering of the car 16 by power supply from the power storage devices 13 and 14 or the driving device 21, a detecting part 24 for detecting the occurrence of the power failure and abnormality of the power storage device 13 during operation of the elevator, and a power failure time rescue operation executing part 25 for supplying the electric power to the driving device 21 by receiving the electric power from the power storage device 14 by detection of the abnormality. The power failure time rescue operation executing part 25 allows the operation control part 23 to make the car 16 travel up to a story floor position by the electric power. |
