PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multistage gear transmission which is attained in size and weight reduction for cost reduction without an increase in a number of components to improve fuel consumption of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A multistage gear transmission 20 includes: an input shaft 22, a first drive shaft 23, a second drive shaft 24 and an output shaft 25 which are arranged parallel to each other; a first and second multiple-disk clutches 30, 31 which perform connection and disconnection of power from the input shaft 22 to the first drive shaft 23 and the second drive shaft 24; three pieces of a first, second and third planetary gears 40, 50 and 60; and a first and second locking mechanisms 46, 56 which lock the rotation of respective ring gears 43, 53 of the first and second planetary gears 40, 50. The transmission 20 further includes a third shifter clutch 33 which performs connection and disconnection of power between the ring gear 53 of the second planetary gear 50 and the planetary carrier 64 of the third planetary gear 60. |
