PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device which can prevent leakage between pixels when a hole injection layer is formed by a dry process deposition method without patterning between pixels.SOLUTION: An organic EL display device comprises at least a pixel electrode, a cathode, and an organic luminous medium layer including an organic luminous layer which are each formed on a substrate. The organic luminous layer emits light by a current flowing from the pixel electrode and the cathode into the organic luminous layer. Patterned barriers to partition the pixel electrodes are provided on the substrate, and the organic luminous layer is provided between the barriers. The barriers have at least two layers, the outermost layer of which covers at least the top face and the side face on an organic luminous medium layer side of the lower layer, and the outermost profile is formed to have a step, so that there is a level difference between at least the lowermost side having a portion in contact with the organic luminous medium layer and an upper side above it. |
