PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing and separating alkali metals (especially potassium) from a titanium oxide nanowire from which removal of alkali metals (especially potassium) is difficult.SOLUTION: A titanium oxide nanowire having a minor axis dimension of ≥1 nm and a major axis dimension of ≥0.5 μm is brought into contact with an acidic solution of pH<4, and heated at ≥110°C under a pressure of ≥1,300 hPa. After the treatment, the titanium oxide nanowire may be washed with an aqueous solvent and/or an organic solvent and the washed titanium oxide nanowire may be separated from the solution. |
