PURPOSE: A positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve for a vehicle and a control method thereof are provided to remove operating noise and to improve durability by preventing direct contact between a valve body and an armature when the armature is moved by positive or negative pressure. CONSTITUTION: A PCV valve comprises an armature (130), an elastic member (140), and a reaction force generating unit (150). The armature is movably installed along a valve path (111) formed in a valve body (110). One end of the elastic member is fixed on the valve body, and the other end thereof is fixed on the armature. In order to maintain a sealed state of the valve path when positive pressure is generated in an intake manifold according to engine operation conditions, the elastic member applies elasticity to the armature to move the armature. The reaction force generating unit generates a magnetic field with current applied when the armature is moved by the elasticity of the elastic member to generate magnetic reaction force in a direction opposite to the armature moving direction.
