PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-ray shielding film which exhibits superior heat shielding properties though being made mainly of a polyvinyl acetal resin, and a heat-ray shielding mating transparent base material which uses the transparent laminated substrate using heat-ray shielding film.SOLUTION: There is provided a heat-ray shielding film which contains a compound having a heat-ray shielding function, a selective wavelength absorbing material, a polyvinyl acetal resin, and a plasticizer. The compound having the heat-ray shielding function is one or more selected from indium tin oxide fine particles and antimony tin oxide fine particles, and the selective wavelength absorbing material has a transmission profile of 90% or higher in transmissivity to light with a wavelength of 550 nm and 40% or lower in transmissivity to light with a wavelength of 450 nm.
