PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass layer forming method capable of obtaining a glass layer of good quality.SOLUTION: A glass layer forming method for manufacturing a glass layer formation body 10 by forming a glass layer 3 on a glass member 4, includes: a first process of arranging powder including a laser beam absorbing material and glass powder on the glass member 4 so as to cover a formation scheduled region R2 for forming the glass layer 3; a second process of forming the glass layer 3 on the glass member 4 by melting the powder along the formation scheduled region R2 by irradiating the powder with a first laser beam along the formation schedule region R2 after the first process; and a third process of removing the powder from the glass member 4 after the second process. |
