PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up transmission of data associated with diagnosis.SOLUTION: A maintenance support system 1 for vehicle includes an on-board control system 2 including a plurality of control devices 11-15 and a plurality of diagnostic tools 3, 4. The control device 15 has a gateway function. A data relay unit 21 transfers requests RQ from the diagnostic tools 3, 4 to the other control devices 11-14. Further, the data relay unit 21 transmits diagnostic data from the other control devices 11-14 to the diagnostic tools 3, 4. A cache management unit 22 stores specific diagnostic data in a cache storage unit 23. The diagnostic tools 3, 4 may make a request to transmit the specific diagnostic data which is stored. In this case, the cache management unit 22 answers to the diagnostic tools 3, 4 with the specific diagnostic data stored in the cache storage unit 23 without relays a requirement to the other control equipment 11-14. Consequently, transmission of the diagnostic data is made fast. |
