PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a metal molding having reduced variation in product hardness, capable of preventing cracks and deformation in spite of reduced step numbers, having reduced strains derived from heat treatment, and further capable of producing a forged product having high hardness and high strength.SOLUTION: A method for producing a metal molding includes: a shear deformation miniaturization treatment step of forming a low deformation resistance region in which deformation resistance is locally reduced on a metallic body, shear-deforming the low deformation resistance region and performing rapid cooling in such a manner that solute elements dissolved by the shear deformation are not precipitated during the cooling; a molding step of subjecting the metallic body, subjected to the shear deformation miniaturization treatment step, to warm isothermal forging in the aging temperature zone of the metallic body to mold the metallic body; and a molding forming step of subjecting the molded metallic body to aging treatment for a prescribed time in the aging temperature zone to form a metal molding. |
