<p>The component i.e. gear box (10), has a rotor part (12) mounted to rotate relative to a stator part (14) along a rotor axis (18), where the parts delimit an oil chamber (24). An oil detector (36) is mounted to rotate on the stator part along the axis. The detector delimits an oil drain space (38) with the rotor part, where the space extends around the axis and directs flow of the oil to transmit rotational movement to the detector by viscous drive under the effect of rotational displacement of the rotor part. A sensor (32) e.g. phonic wheel sensor, determines rotary state of the detector. An independent claim is also included for a method for monitoring filling level of an enclosure with lubricant of a component.</p> |
