This invention is provided with: a semiconductor substrate in which a plurality of pixels are formed so as to be arranged in a two-dimensional array; a color filter layer layered on the upper layer of the semiconductor substrate at a position corresponding to the pixels; a plurality of microlenses for collecting light incident on the pixels, the microlenses being layered on the the upper layer of the color filter layer; and isolated column-shaped reflecting walls provided upright in an intermediate layer between the semiconductor substrate and the microlenses at every position of the gaps formed so as to be surrounded by the plurality of adjacent microlenses, the reflecting walls reflecting light incident on the color filter from the gaps towards the direction of the pixel corresponding to the color filter in question. |
