PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating chlorine-containing waste by a simple method.SOLUTION: A method for treating waste includes decomposing and desalting chlorine-containing waste at a high temperature. The chlorine-containing waste and an alkali are introduced into a reaction vessel, superheated steam is fed to and discharged from the reaction vessel, chlorine in the waste is decomposed in the reaction vessel, generated hydrogen chloride is fixed to a solid phase due to the alkali, a solid content left in the reaction vessel is led as a regenerated solid fuel to the outside of the reaction vessel, the solid content led to the outside of reaction vessel is ground and thereafter only a fine particle solid content classified by a prescribed particle size is washed with water. |
