This non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell is provided with: a positive electrode (1); a negative electrode (2); a separator (3) disposed between the positive electrode (1) and the negative electrode (2); and a non-aqueous electrolyte (15). The positive electrode (1) includes a positive electrode active material comprising a lithium-containing transition metal oxide having a layered crystal structure. The negative electrode (2) includes a negative electrode active material comprising a Ti-based oxide, and an additive comprising a fluorinated carbon that reacts with lithium at a higher potential than the negative electrode active material. In this non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell, a change in the potential of the negative electrode (2) brings the cell voltage to the discharge cutoff voltage.
