PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical connector which enables the connection of a medical connecting tool thereto without a need to use a special connector, does not make shapes and assembling processes complicated, and does not have a stepped portion formed between a valve and an upper surface of a housing, and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A medical connector 1 includes a disk-shaped valve member 2 having a slit 21 in a central part, a cylindrical housing 3 which can hold a circumferential edge part of the valve member 2, and a ring member 4 disposed on a circumferential edge of an upper part other than the central part of the valve member 2. In the medical connector 1, the housing 3 has a pedestal 31 which is provided on an inner circumferential surface to protrude inward so that the valve member 2 can be placed, and the valve member 2 is fixed to the inside of the housing 3 by joining the ring member 4 and the housing 3 after the valve member 2 is placed on the pedestal 31 inside the housing 3. |
