<p>The present invention relates to a vehicle high beam control device which can effectively signal an emergency situation by the operation of a user for controlling the high beam of a vehicle and a control method therefor and, more particularly, to a vehicle high beam control device comprising: a mode setting unit for setting a plurality of preset modes for controlling the on/off operations of a high beam, an emergency light, a brake light or the like according to a temporary high beam path direction operation of a light switch which is provided near a vehicle steering wheel so as to operate various lights; a switch detection unit which receives a signal in accordance with the temporary high beam path direction operation of the light switch, and which detects whether the operation is performed; and an on/off operation control unit for controlling the one/off operations of one or more lights selected from the high beam, the emergency light, and the brake light or the like according to the mode set by the mode setting unit and the signal for the temporary high beam path direction operation received from the switching detection unit, wherein the on/off operation control unit turns the one or more lights selected from the high beam, the emergency light, and the brake light or the like on and off up to a predetermined number of times at a preset on-and-off speed, if the signal for the temporary high beam path direction operation is detected one time.</p> |
