PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device capable of preventing the clogging in stopped operation and cleaning the inside of a nozzle, and to provide a maintenance method thereof.SOLUTION: In an inkjet recording device using UV ray curable ink, UV ray is irradiated to a meniscus surface of ink in a nozzle when storing a head 32X. As a result, the meniscus surface is cured and a solidified membrane is formed on the meniscus surface. An opening part of the nozzle N is sealed by the solidified membrane M and ink is prevented from being dried in the vicinity of the opening part. In recovery, ink is ejected from the nozzle N to remove the solidified membrane M. |
