The present invention provides a device for measuring insulation resistance capable of calculating insulation resistance values of a positive terminal side and a negative terminal side of a battery. A device for measuring insulation resistance according to the present invention selectively connects insulation resistance measurement units to a positive and negative terminals of a battery so as to form mutually different first and second circuits, then calculates insulation resistance values for the positive and negative terminals from the first and second insulation detection voltages applied to the insulation resistance measurement units and simultaneous equations for circuits derived from the first and second circuits. Accordingly, the present invention allows obtaining quantitative insulation resistance values for both the positive and negative terminals of a battery.
