In this electronic conference system (1), a management server (3) forwards saved conference materials (20) to a portable terminal (10) that has permitted a connection; the user of the portable terminal (10) inputs notes in a format superimposed on the conference materials (20) on the screen of the portable terminal (10); note data (41) are produced as separate data from the conference materials (20); at the end of the conference, only the note data (41) are forwarded from the portable terminal (10) to the management server (3) and the note data (41) are deleted from the portable terminal (10); at the end of the conference, the management server (3) produces combined materials (42) resulting from combining the conference materials (20) and the note data (41), stores the result at a predetermined storage location, and notifies the portable terminal (10) of the storage location; and the user transmits an email describing the storage location from the portable terminal (10) to any given email address.
