PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast product in which an alumina barrier layer can be formed over the whole surface, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a cast product used in a high-temperature atmosphere and having an alumina barrier layer includes: a step of applying an acidic treatment to a surface of a casting body of a heat-resistant alloy which contains, by mass, 15% or more Cr, 18% or more Ni and 2-4% Al; and a heat treatment step of heating the casting body that has been subjected to the acidic treatment with a polyhydric alcohol fluid to form the alumina barrier layer containing AlOon the surface thereof.
