The present invention provides an influenza virus infection inhibitor for fiber processing that effectively inhibits an influenza virus from infecting humans, that is capable of reducing symptoms even when the development of symptoms or said symptoms are occurring, and that exhibits excellent rubbing fastness. The influenza virus infection inhibitor for fiber processing is characterized by containing an influenza virus infection-inhibiting compound that comprises at least one of the substituent groups having the structures indicated in general formulas (1)-(3) on the side chain of a linear polymer, and that contains 70 wt% or more of a monomer component comprising the substituent groups having the structures indicated in general formulas (1)-(3).
