The flap assembly (2) has an actuator (5) to transfer a flap (3) from closed position into open position. A drive unit (52) is arranged to drive a push rod (51) with a drive force. The push rod is operatively connected to the flap through a mounting port (6). The flap is moved from the closed position to the open position when the push bar driven by the drive unit is moved from a first position (A) to a second position. A blocking unit (8) is arranged to block the push rod against a force direction (K) of the drive force in the first position.
