A device for retaining goods on a trolley comprises a clamp 62 having a recess mountable on part of the trolley and an arm 54 mountable on clamp 62 and pivotable in two orthogonal directions. A pivot 62retains arm 54 in a chosen orientation, suitably by a lock or by friction; means to adjust the amount of friction may be provided. Arm 54 may have a gripping surface (20, Figure 6) having a plurality of raised portions. The pivot may comprise a stop to allow the rotation of arm 54 in one angular sense and restrict rotation in an opposite sense. The pivot may be formed of two non-coaxial curved portions. Also disclosed is an arrangement having two clamps on each side of a trolley and each having a corresponding arm pointing inwardly towards the centre of the trolley. |
