<p>Use of a three-dimensional system of thick knitted fabric type, having a flexible structure to produce a device capable of limiting and partly eliminating the energy and calories due to reheating, and to produce a device designed for preparation, polishing or shining and also to produce a surface that has to undergo or may undergo a treatment involving heating and devices capable of limiting and partly eliminating the energy and calories due to heating. The device may in particular be made up of the following layers: layer 1: an outer surface of uniformly laid needle-punched fibres of filaments, or felt, or of abrasive cloth type; layer 2: optionally a base to which the fibres, or abrasive grains, are fixed, to give the system rigidity; layer 3: a layer of adhesive; layer 4: optionally a jersey knit for clinging to a Velcro<SUP>®</SUP>-type surface; layer 5: optionally a Velcro<SUP>®</SUP>-type surface; layer 6: optionally a layer of adhesive to fix the Velcro<SUP>®</SUP>-type surface to the three-dimensional system; layer 7: a three-dimensional system of thick knitted fabric type, having a flexible structure; layer 8: a layer of adhesive; and layer 9: a rear backing.</p> |
