One signature register which has multiple inputs is assigned in each case to at least two of the at least two computation cores. At least one task is executed by the at least two of the at least two computation cores, an algorithm is computed in each task, results computed by each computation core are written into the assigned signature register, and the results written into the signature registers are compared.
