The shaft (1) has a rolling bearing with a two-piece rolling bearing insert (3) e.g. two-piece needle ring, and a rolling bearing outer ring (2). The outer ring has a pin (6) that radially and axially fixes the rolling bearing in a bearing seat of a motor car cylinder head. The bearing comprises a polished rolling bearing inner ring (5) arranged on the shaft. A set of fastening devices i.e. retaining clips (4), is arranged at the bearing insert for fastening the bearing insert on the inner ring. The clips are extended over right and left edges of the bearing insert. The rolling bearing insert is designed as a cage with balls or a cage with rollers or a cage with rollers and balls, where plastic expansion of the shaft is made. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a mounting arrangement for a rolling bearing for arrangement on a cam shaft (2) a method for manufacturing a cam shaft.
